Along with graphic design and photography, I took several printmaking classes while at the University of Iowa. One of my favorite methods of printing was relief. Most of my projects have been woodblock reductive reliefs. While I can change, move and add new elements to my graphic design work, reductive printing requires careful planning before the process begins. The contrast in practices was challenging for me at first but I enjoy seeing all the stages coming together in the end.
